Loulé is also an excellent city for a day shopping, it has many shopping streets.

The districts capital’s "Old Town" is surrounded by a mediaeval wall and contains many monuments like the Roman/Gothic Cathedral, the Renaissance Monastery Nossa Senhora da Assuncão, the 16th-18th century São Francisco Church.
Faro offers also many attractive shops and restaurants.

is more flat. Quarteira offers a long extented sandy beach with adjacent boulevard, both inviting for sun-bathing or strolling along the seaside.
Enjoy the seaview from one of the many terraces and/or visit the weekly Gypsy Market.
